Our Ministries
umw United Methodist Women Ministries:
The Reliance United Methodist Women meet at 7:00PM, on the second Tuesday of each month, for a short program and light snacks, in the Social Hall at 1571 Reliance Road, Reliance, VA. Please contact Ms. Sally Derflinger, UMW President for additional information.

United Methodist Men Ministries:

Are you feeling a call to Men's ministry? The Reliance United Methodist Men meet at 8:00 AM, on the first Sunday of each month, for a breakfast, devotional, and to conduct the business of the fellowship.

Our fellowship works to offer programs to meet the needs and interests of men of all ages. If you are looking to find out what is going on in Men’s Ministry today, we are here to assist. Please contact Mr. David Lightcap, UMM President for additional information.

Kids Church (Children's Ministries)
Kids Church is an age-appropriate, hands-on worship experience geared toward children ages 7-12*. Kids Church takes place each Sunday during regular worship service (approx. 11:20AM - 12:00PM).

During Kids Church, children experience God's Teachings first through scripture, then by way of group discussion, games, hands on projects, and/or music & videos. Leaders use various forms of technology and activities to help kids understand how biblical concepts are relevant to our daily lives, and why it's important to LIVE the Word!

We are currently working to expand Kids Church beyond the classroom & create opportunities for fellowship and service outside of Sunday morning. Please see the News & Notes section for upcoming Kids Church events.

We hope your family will consider joining us!

*Have a 6 year old or a 13 year old who might benefit from Kids Church? We're flexible on the age, so he/she is welcome to attend a session and see if it's the right fit.  Reliance UMC also has "nursery time" during worship service for children 6 and under, where they can enjoy stories, basic crafts, snacks, and play time.
